Before preschoolers can become writers, they must have some fine motor control. For St. Patrick’s Day I have created a variety of fun fine motor activities that preschoolers will love and are great for promoting fine motor control! How Should I Set Up Fine Motor Activities For My Preschooler?

As a teacher, I really enjoy setting up learning activities for my children. I enjoy a fresh and clean look so I tend to use clear or wooden trays. You will see a few of these containers throughout this post. Children love the power to choose so typically I will either set up activities on a shelf or display a few materials on the table.

If you prefer, setting up and presenting fine motor activities for preschoolers one by one, that is a fine choice too! Giving early learners many opportunities to increase their fine motor skills is the goal here! There are lots of ways to get to the final destination!

One thing that I find when setting up learning activities for my children is that they will use the given materials in more than just the way I intended. THAT IS OKAY! We want kids to play! They LEARN through PLAY!!
