Apple Activities for Little Learners
A few weeks back we went to the apple orchard and decided that our focus for homeschool should be APPLES!! I set out to find fun and engaging activities for all 3 of my little learners and found some great ideas!
It can often be challenging to engage a group of multiage kids but we always try our best! You can read about one of my favorite apple exploration activities HERE!
I ALWAYS try to incorporate fine motor skills into our activities. Here are a few of the fun things we explored over the past few weeks!
Apple Scissor Skills
Both of the boys LOVE cutting with scissors. Here are some cute apples for cutting and some cutting strips! They both loved these apple activities!!
Worm Hole Punchers
My son ADORED this INDEPENDENT APPLE ACTIVITY! How could he not?! Look at how pretty these look printed on bright paper?!?
Fine Motor Apples
These apple freebies are great because you can use them in a variety of ways! We printed them off and used dot markers to fill in the dots. We also used sparkly pom-poms and tweezers. This one was great to keep my toddler busy for quite some time and he got some great fine motor practice!!
Counting Puzzles
These apple counting puzzles were great to reinforce counting skills.
Apple Clip Cards
These clip cards are perfect for practicing both beginning sounds and counting!! They are also great for fine motor practice!
Vocabulary Cards
I love to display vocabulary cards during a study. These cards were great and supported all of our apple explorations! They were especially awesome for my first grader who is also a perfectionist! She loves spelling words correctly!
3 Part Montessori Cards
The pretty watercolor images on these cards really make me happy! My first grader and preschooler love matching these up and pulled them out several times when completing their independent work!
Building Apples
This one was probably one of our littles favorite activities! We are all big fans of Legos around here so these were perfect!
Who Can Use These Activities?
These apple activities are perfect for classroom teachers, intervention specialists, tutors, and homeschool parents! At home we used them on our Montessori inspired shelves but you could easily print out one activity at a time. There isn’t a right way to do introduce or complete these apple projects with your child. The only thing that matters is that you AND your child are having a joyful experience TOGETHER!
If you love these ideas, find them HERE in my TPT store! You can also grab my freebies HERE!
Thanks for reading!!
